From overcrowded to oasis!
With a second child on the way, the Moore's had moved from California to Massachusetts where they purchased a beautiful colonial near Smith College. To accommodate their growing family, they needed a fourth bedroom- and the spacious attic seemed to offer a perfect solution for a new master bedroom suite.
They soon discovered, however, that the roof leaked and would have to be corrected before renovations could take place. With only two months before the delivery, Sarah and Nate had their hands full.
The time-sensitive attic conversion project for Sarah and Nathan provided the perfect opportunity for Barron & Jacobs to display our skills as a Design/Build company specializes in improving "existing space."
Lack of time did not mean a lack in design or quality as an exciting space was created by using existing ceiling beams, enlarging dormer windows, and creating a walk-in closet and storage space.
Removing the existing chimney allowed for the creation of a very unique and relaxing Master Bath featuring skylights, a Kohler 10-Jet BodySpa Personal Shower System, tile floors, and truly awesome views.
Sarah and Nathan were astonished with Barron & Jacobs' design capabilities, productivity, and efficiency. "There were no surprises" Sarah remembers, "the project was completed on time with little or no interruption to our daily lives. From the first day we were very pleased with our construction team. Bob, our Project Manager, kept us up to date daily and gave us plenty of time to make decisions on colors and options."
From leaky roof correction to master suite with closets and bath -the attic conversion was completed in time for the new arrival!
